Noel is a wife, mother and a potter!  She spent years working in child-focused nonprofit administration, including being a lifetime Girl Scout, where she gained the campname BusyB.  Named by a group of girls, this moniker and the way she earned it truly captures so much of who Noel is and what she loves; her love of nature, her non-stop personality and her personal perspective to see every challenge as an opportunity to learn, and her constant desire to learn something new.  So, when it came to naming her deeply held passion for pottery, leaning back into her campname seemed like a perfect fit.

Noel has been known to lose 12 hours at the wheel.  She explores old and new techniques to transform earth into beautiful, useful and unique pieces.  Why pottery?  Because it is an artistry where skill can be built upon endlessly, and creativity flows directly from that skill.  Pottery has, for Noel, reshaped how she views art, and her desire to explore where form meets functionality guides her choices.  She loves how grounded pottery is- a true representation of nature in artistic form.  Take dirt.  Add water.  Dry in the air.  Harden in fire.  To her, it is a beautiful way to play in the mud.

When not taking on a lump of clay, Noel can be found in her garden growing food, in her kitchen making or preserving that food, off camping in the woods or off-roading in her Jeep, named Gertrude (which is greek for adored warrior). 

When she is being less of a Busy B, Noel is likely indulging in her guilty pleasure- following legal cases on youtube (go law-nerds!).
